Terms and Conditions

Version 0.2 · August 2026
These terms are published in English only. Our reviews are delivered in seven languages, but legal terms are held in a single authoritative version to avoid discrepancies of meaning between translations.
Pre-launch notice: these terms are published for transparency ahead of launch and will be reviewed by legal counsel before the service becomes available. They do not constitute a binding offer of service while SIGHTER remains in pre-launch.

1. Who we are

SIGHTER is operated by esc IT Pty Ltd, ABN 78 662 516 574, a company registered in Australia.

Should you require further details about the company, please contact us at support@sighter.cricket and we will provide them.

2. What the service provides

SIGHTER examines cricket video that you submit and returns a written coaching review. Computer vision reads your body position from the footage, and a coaching framework built from the cricket biomechanics and coaching literature interprets what it finds.

The review describes patterns in your technique — what is working, what merits attention, and a drill to address it. It does not state precise angles, degrees, or other exact biomechanical quantities. A single camera cannot capture rotation occurring away from its viewing plane, and our reviews are written to respect that limit rather than estimate past it.

3. What the service does not provide

SIGHTER is not, and does not hold itself out to be, any of the following:

If you experience pain while attempting any drill or activity suggested in a review, please stop at once and seek appropriate medical advice.

4. Who may use the service

SIGHTER is presently available to adults aged eighteen and over. By using the service you confirm that you are at least eighteen years of age.

We intend to extend the service to junior players once the additional safeguards required for handling children's data are properly established. Until that work is complete, submissions on behalf of players under eighteen cannot be accepted.

5. Price and payment

Each review is charged at a single flat rate, payable before you submit your video. The price applicable to your market is shown on our home page. Taxes apply as applicable.

Prices may change from time to time. Any change applies only to submissions made after it takes effect, and never to a review already paid for.

6. How the service works

You submit a cricket video through WhatsApp. We examine it and return a written review, ordinarily within one working day of submission.

A submission covers up to eight deliveries. Where a video contains more, the deliveries beyond the eighth are simply not examined; the submission itself is not rejected. This limit is made clear to you before you submit.

7. Recording again, and refunds

If we cannot produce a review from your video — because of camera angle, framing, or video quality — we will explain precisely why and invite you to record again. A second recording uses your existing paid submission; you are not charged afresh.

Should a second attempt also prove unusable, your submission is escalated for manual examination. If we remain unable to resolve it within forty-eight hours, a full refund is issued automatically to your original payment method. Refunds ordinarily appear within three to five business days.

8. Your responsibilities

9. Your data

We collect and handle personal data as described in our privacy notice. By using the service you consent to your data being handled in the manner set out there.

Your video and personal details are kept on servers in India and are scrambled so that no one else can read them, both while stored and while being sent.

10. Limitation of liability

SIGHTER provides coaching guidance only. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any injury, loss, or damage arising from the use of, or reliance upon, any review, drill, or recommendation provided through the service.

Our total liability to you in respect of any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid for the particular review in question.

11. Availability

The service is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Periods of downtime, whether scheduled or otherwise, do not entitle you to a refund in respect of reviews not yet submitted.

12. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. A revision takes effect when it is published on this page. The version number and date shown at the top of this page identify the current version.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you may hold under the consumer protection laws of your country of residence, where those laws apply and cannot be excluded by agreement.
